As I further my understanding of this instrument, so does my understanding of the album. I had the sound, layout and feel in my head, for years. I had the instruments in front of me, the songs written in my head. Only thing I didn't know, was how to get there. I've been battling with my self on how to go about recording my first album, a thought that has been in my head since early teens, when my playing started developing. A couple of years back, I recorded what would be the first release of my song 'Coast'. The sound was right, or what felt right at the time. But this is the direction I wanted my sound to go. How I envisioned my first album may feel. This is where it began.

So a new year is well under way. I couldn't have asked for more fun in 2014. Lots of shows, traveling around with great bands to very beautiful places on Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands. Your support has been amazing so a big thank you to all of you!
To kick off 2015 I have a concert announcement and news on my new weissenborn by Mike Rusen.
This past weekend I got the call.. Its complete! I know have a custom made teardrop weissenborn made locally here in Victoria BC. It has been a very special journey to see the making of this instrument and connecting with its maker. I am overly grateful to Mike for creating such a beautiful instrument for me. Photos to come soon.
On top of that I have a concert announcement. On Sunday February 8th I will be opening for Ash Grunwald at the Duncan Showroom! Get your tickets fast, he is always a sell out. For more information on tickets and his music, please visit the Showroom or Ash Grunwald. I've been spending lots of time on my new pedal board to further my new direction into instrumental music. I will be showcasing some new tunes at this concert from the up coming album. Hope to see you there!
With all the excitement of this summer, and all of the fantastic shows, with all the talented bands, I was really excited to revisit the first didgeridoo song I had ever recorded.
Four years ago was when I first recorded "Pressure System". Recording with David K was always exciting, and recording my first Didge track was no exception. Though a fairly easy and quick track to record, I felt much was still missing.
I feel that I have come a long way since that day in the studio, and am much closer now to where I want the song to be. Though there will be further evolution of this no doubt, this is a demo of what it has become. Hope you enjoy this new recording, and please feel free to download it while it is available.
After a fantastic weekend playing Gabriola and Mayne Island, we are off to Tofino, for a show this Saturday. We are also going to be playing live on Ukee Radio on Saturday morning. Should be a great weekend!
